Phase II Thoroughbreds is a lifetime dream come true for Elissa Blowe who grew up in a harness racing family in Greenbank, Ontario. Her father Don, was a successful Standardbred driver and trainer for many years and her mother Beth was an extremely hard working Standardbred trainer and accomplished show jumper. Elissa's first riding horse came in the form of an 18 year old retired lead pony named Robert. Robert had worked for many years at Fort Erie Racetrack and when it came time to retire him his owner Penny Ryan gave him to Elissa. It was then that the dream of Phase 2 Thoroughbreds started. Elissa dreamed of having a farm where horses could enjoy their retirement from their careers and be matched up with new families and given a new life. Elissa made the transition to the world of Thoroughbred racing during her college education in Broadcasting and has been actively involved in the racing community ever since, be it in the grandstand, the shedrow and now as a racing commentator Horse Player Interactive Television.

Phase II Thoroughbreds, like many horse businesses started with one horse for sale and quickly grew to more then 60 plus in a matter of no time. Elissa takes pride in matching her clients up with their dream horse and watching their new careers develop as they make the transition from racer to show horse. She enjoys quality business relationships with many of Canada's best thoroughbred owners, trainers and grooms who have been provided with an alternative option for the sales of their slow or untalented racers. To date, Elissa has placed more then 250 thoroughbreds in their new homes and many have gone onto outstanding results in the show ring!

GETTING STARTED:

Once you are ready to begin viewing the thoroughbreds available from Phase II contact Elissa to book your appointments. Horses are located all over Ontario so be prepared to travel to different racetracks, training centres and farms for your viewings.

All horses are available for pre purchase exams by a qualified veterinarian of your choice. This is recommended before your purchase is finalized.
